VENEZIA AND THE LAGOON’S ISLANDS OF MURANO AND BURANO

1st day             Departure at 7:00am to Venice

Venezia2With its singing gondoliers, exotic architecture and mysterious canals, Venice has been a fabled holiday destination for centuries. You can get a taste of it with this two day bus tour from Milan.
While in Venice you'll take a two-hour guided walking tour exploring the maze of canals and laneways until you arrive at the incomparable St. Mark's Square. As you stroll, your guide will point out the significant buildings and monuments you’ll pass.
The afternoon is free for you to set off on your own Venetian adventure, exploring tucked-away medieval streets. Dinner in a traditional restaurant and hotel overnight.

2nd day            Lagoon cruise and return by bus to Milan (approx. arrival time 8:30pm)

VeneziaExplore the famous islands of the Venice lagoon, Murano and Burano, boarding a comfortable motor boat. You'll speed along the Venetian lagoon to Murano, famous for its glassware and then to the island of Burano to admire picturesque fishermen's houses painted in bright pastel colours, and, of course, the famous lace. You’ll have some free time on each island for own visits and shopping.

VeronaOn this tour you'll discover that Verona is one of Italy's loveliest towns, a major stop on the Shakespearean tourist trail, and be charmed by the towns and landscapes of Lake Garda.
Verona is rich in archaeological sites, with a beautiful medieval center. The Roman arena, where concerts and operas are performed in summer, is the city's grandest sight, but 'Juliet's balcony' is the principal point of interest for lovers of Shakespeare.

The beautiful lakeside towns around Lago di Garda have charmed foreign visitors for centuries. The area was a summer resort area for the ancient Romans, and in the pretty town of Sirmione, perched on the end of a long promontory on the southern shore of Lake Garda, you can visit the ruins and mosaics that record their presence.

FIRENZE, SIENA
AND CHIANTI WINE REGION

1st day             Departure at 7:00am to Florence

FirenzeGet the chance to visit to Florence, the city that gave birth to the Renaissance, with this two days bus tour from Milan. Florence is a treasure trove of important paintings and sculptures, medieval architecture and Renaissance palaces, and on this tour you will see Michelangelo's famous statue of David plus architectural treasures by Giotto and Botticelli.

While in Florence you'll visit the Academy Gallery and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Michelangelo with his world-famous marble statue of David and other important works.

In the afternoon, after some free time for lunch (not included), you'll take a two-hour guided walking tour through the city . As you stroll, your guide will point out the significant buildings and monuments you’ll pass. Dinner in a traditional restaurant and hotel overnight.

2nd day            Siena and Chianti region and return by bus to Milan (approx. arrival time 8:30pm)

ChiantiIn the morning you’ll enjoy a country drive through magnificent landscapes of Chianti. This popular Tuscan region is universally acclaimed for its classic wines and natural beauty. Combine the magical world of an ancient Tuscan town with the visit of a local cellar where you'll receive insights into the local wine-growing traditions and sample of prestigious wines accompanied by local traditional snacks.

In the afternoon proceed to the medieval walled city of Siena. On your guided tour, you'll visit the cathedral and its museum, and admire Piazza del Campo, one of the most beautiful squares in Europe. Then, there will be free time before leaving by bus back to Milan.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation of tours will be accepted until 05 October 2009, up to which the total amount will be refunded.

For cancellations received after 5th October and up to 25th October 50% of the expenses will be refunded. No refund will be done for cancellation received after 25th October 2009.

Tours include transfer (where indicated), entrance fees and English-speaking guide. Lunches/dinners are included where clearly specified. Taxes are included. All tours are based on a minimum number of 20 participants. If the minimum number is not reached, the tour will be cancelled.
